British Airways has begun a new codesharing agreement on Meridiana’s services between London Gatwick and Florence.

“Codesharing flights began operating from 09 February 2010, on Meridiana’s twice a day service from Gatwick South Terminal to Florence.

British Airways customers benefit from a two class service offering both Business (Electa Club) or Economy seating options.

Tuscany has long been a favourite destination for our customers and we already operate from London Heathrow twice daily and Gatwick during Summer 2010. Tying up with Meridiana increases capacity to a very popular holiday region and we are very pleased to be able to offer our customers a wider choice of flights.”

Just tried weekend of 26th out Friday back monday in economy at £240, drops to £200 during week so great if you are doing business.

Outlet shopping is very good, food fantastic even if the Eurodrachma is still strong…..

Just tried a dummy booking on the Meridiana website and they wanted over £350 more than BA for the same flights for a Biz class return next week!!.
