I think ‘Third class’ would be much more appropriate. Although, on good days, BA is quite capable of a Desmond.

@MartynSinclair The CSM was very surprised at how loose the two seats were on their single mounting. Impossible to sleep as the loose seats moved so much when each of us moved, plus the footstool for the pax behind me caused my seat to wobble. At the end of the flight the Captain came to check and was also concerned and explained that this situation isn’t rare.
The CSM has a matrix guidance as to compensation appropriate to the fault applicable to class travelled and Exec Club status. The guidance for this broken seat and disturbed sleep at a Gold level is 50,000 Avios. So, if anybody gets a wobbly seat mention it to the CSM.
Personally, I don’t want Avios, I would like the seats on the aircraft to be fixed, so I can sleep.
But, I reiterate that the cabin service on this flight was faultless.
