  • Q: “Are there any plans to open your business lounges to Priority Pass members the way some of the flybe lounges are?”

A: “We work with various partners to provide lounges, and you can buy access to these from our website.”

Q: “where have all the routes to/from glasgow disappeared to?”

A: “We fly up to 3 times a day to Glasgow from East Midlands, and this is a reflection of demand for the service.”

Q: “Who runs the Twitter feed?particular members of staff dedicated to it or is it one part of employees’ wider roles?”

A: “Our comms team manage it, but we are working on enhancing our presence with more of us being involved in the future.”

Q: “Can you please fly to Salzburg because currently there are no direct flights in the midlands to this area.”

A: “Always looking to offer you even more new routes. It’s maybe one for the future. We do fly to Munich & Geneva.”

Q: “Expecting any fines for the potential non-applicance of some EC 261 articles during the ash cloud? e.g. Ryanair.”

A: “We are responding to each query on a case by case basis, and our approach is to be reasonable and fair.”

Q: “Can you offer connecting flights (ie thru EMA) to other destinations?”

A: “Currently our focus is to offer you value point to point services, but keen to explore new opportunities for growth.”

Q: “Why have you not attempted to take the hugely undeserved GLA-Euro city market? GLA to BCN, MAD, LIS, PRG & NCE are easy money!”

A: “Our focus is growth from our current bases – there are still lots of opportunities. You never know longer term!”

That’s all folks. Nigel – re: your original query, Julian has asked that personal queries be sent via DM (direct message on Twitter in case you are not familiar), with booking reference.

If you’re not on Twitter i’m happy to do so on your behalf if you want to email me the booking reference, although whether it will be any more effective than the letter you’ve already sent him i can’t say!

Bmibaby is running the latest in its series of Twitter Q&A sessions today at 3pm:

“Established travel photographer Tony Pleavin will be taking part in a live Twitter Interview to answer all travel and photography related questions thrown at him from the floor. The Q&A session will be the first in a series that will see travel experts take over the bmibaby twitterfeed.”

If you have a question for Tony, then please direct it to:
