VintageKrugParticipantBT consistently refers to “Bmi” in all its articles on the airline.
However, in all the literature sent out by British Midland, online, and on the aircraft livery it refers to itself as bmi without any capitalisation.
Which is correct?

Expat_ConsultantParticipantbmi.
I can’t find a style guide on the net, but if you look at their logo, it is all lower case.

BusinessTravellerKeymasterTo confirm, the branding for the airline is indeed bmi, but for our own house style reasons we do not follow the branding for any of the airlines, either online or in the print edition – you’ll notice that we also say Easyjet, not easyJet.

YorkshireTravellerParticipantShouldnt that be Q.E.D? or maybe Qed? or qed? Who knows! 😉

excessbaggageParticipantI seem to remember that Hilton were forced to get rid of their ridiculous Waldorf=Astoria branding, because no-one took any notice of it – it looked like a typo. I don’t see why a publication should have to follow the branding – it’s editorial, not advertorial.
What’s your point in all this Vintage? I actually think there’s an interesting discussion to be had here on the merits (or otherwise) of branding…
