    Hi all,

Always used to use the T5 Hilton as I love Todiwaller’s restaurant there however it seems either not to be open or being used for other purposes as always show full on Hilton. Are there any other restaurant recommendations for a stopover at LHR please.

    Thanks

Slightly off piste, and I’m sure not to all tastes, but last time I stayed at LHR I found an excellent Indian restaurant Kaniz, circa 10 minutes walk along the Bath road. https://kaniz-restaurant.com/about

New Botella restaurant in Colnbrook is a very short walk from the Hilton T5. I’ve been many times and always enjoyed the food.

It had been a while, and things change, but, when staying at T5, Belle Epoque at the Sofitel was always good, and Carluccio’s in the terminal itself was a reliable pasta/glass of wine drop in.

I would suggest the Novotel on the Bath Road. They had opened a set aside section to the lobby prior to lockdowns etc (cannot remember what it was called) but the Indian food (from a mini-menu) was delicious.

I have also stayed at the Renaissance and Sofitel and personally found the meals I had a bit mediocre.

I always liked the London Hong Kong just off Bath Road to the north of the airport, https://londonhongkongrestaurant.co.uk/. I used it regularly for lunch when I had an office in the area. Never tried it in the evening.

Thanks for posting but that link does not work.

I presume this is the one to which you refer.

My favorite restaurant near to LHR is
The Pheasant Inn & Restaurant Heathrow.
It is one away north on the street to the west of The Marriott Hotel.

98 W End Ln, Harlington, Hayes.

Every time I am staying at LHR I go there. Great food and reasonable prices.

The White Horse which is near the Sheraton Heathrow (a 10 minute walk) is excellent as it is an old fashioned pub and very friendly and great quality food – it feels like a real escape being in a leafy village.

I used to like The Pheasant, and food portions are huge and good value.
However bear in mind it depends when you go, but later in evenings and certainly weekend nights, it is very rough and unfriendly and the rudest door guys.

After an incident there, I would never support this business despite many good meals in the past (earlier evenings).

I prefer eating in nice pubs rather than hotel restaurants.
Try The Green Man – walking distance from the Hilton Garden Inn, Atrium Hotel and Hatton Cross tube station.

I have also used the Three Magpies many times when I stayed at the Renaissance on Bath Road. It can get busy as its a prime location.

I agree with our redeeming chum above: The White Horse is a very pleasant little pub, a five minute walk down the road from the T5 Premier Inn.
    Decent pint, tasty tucker.

I agree with both the White Horse near the Sheraton Heathrow and Madhus at the Sheraton Skyline. Both are pretty good.

Have eaten at La Belle Epoque at the Sofitel on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed. Very good selection of wines by the glass.

They have a private dining room where we have hosted family and friends before returning to NZ and had excellent food.

I note on Mahdus website that they are showing T5 Hilton now…..for info.
