Can the news ever get any better for Berlin’s new airport (BER) ?

Not only is the project running years late, as we have reported on this website many times already, but now one of BER’s former department heads has appeared in a Berlin court and admitted to “taking a Euros 150,000 bribe” reports thelocal.de

BER’s current opening date is now likely to be in 2019. Although thelocal.de reports that work is currently “crawling at a snail’s pace.”

Very unlike the Germans to be so inefficient!

As to the bribes, no surprise there…

I actually had a flight booked to BER a few years back before they closed it right before it was scheduled to open.

    Cheers,
