British Airways will suspend its flights between Belgrade and London Heathrow from November 30, 2010.

Emil Delibashev, British Airways’ commercial manager Balkans, said:

“The decision to suspend flights between Belgrade and London has been a difficult one to make. However, the route is not making a profitable contribution to our business and we are unable to sustain it.”

“We thank those customers to have travelled with us for their support.”

Customers booked to travel with British Airways from Belgrade after November 30, 2010 will be contacted by the airline or their travel agent so that alternative arrangements can be made.

The airline currently operates seven flights per week between Belgrade and London Heathrow.

Ironic that on 8th December Partizan Belgrade will be taking on Arsenal in the Champions League in London.

BA should have chosen more carefully, as there will be plenty fans coming across that day/day before, as Belgrade taken on the Gunners.

    So Belgrade’s a Gonner before it’s a Gunner.
