Hi,
I tried to call BA but after three attempts and waiting over 20 min each time I thought I would ask for members’ educated advise here…

I have a booking: LHR>BOG via MAD in business. Outbound is the DEC 26th at 6am. I will be in Paris for Xmas and I now realize (a bit late) that there is no eurostar that day and no public transport in London.

Do you think I have any chance convincing BA to change the first segment LHR>MAD into a PAR>MAD (with the return back to London as originally booked)?

Or is there no chance whatsoever, in which case I would give up trying to contact BA on the phone?…

I’d say no chance. They’d re-book the now re-routed ticket and charge you the difference in fare plus any penalties.

I tried again calling but gave up after an endless wait. I guess I might have to try one of these lovely hotels near the airport.
