Interesting piece on the usatoday.com website – it appears quite a few organisations including IATA and the European Commission have concerns about the introduction of body scanners at airports.

I’ve yet to use one, but wouldn’t really have an issue in doing so if it improves security – what are posters’ views?

I used one about two years ago on an early trial at T4.

I have absolutely no issue with using them as long as the current protocols are maintained i.e. the seperation of the scanner from the person reviewing the screen, the choice whether or not children have to use the scanner and the compulsory deletion of the images as soon a sensible after they have been captured.
