InthesandpitParticipantHello all, can anyone tell me if BA Tier points are earned on EI or IB services? I know Avios are earned but can find out if BAEC Tier points are.
I know they are earned on AA, CX, AY and QR.

TominScotlandParticipantEI – No (unless booked as a BA codeshare, I guess)
IB – Yes

HktboundParticipantYou can use this calculator to check if you know your fare code

SwissdiverParticipantEI is not a One World member, hence no tier point, while the others you mentioned are.

MarkCymruParticipantBe very careful about earning miles on EI too. I booked a paid P class business ticket CDG – IAD – CWL (via DUB on the way out and back). I was amazed to find that it showed up on my statement as ineligible for points earning. After a long call with BAEC (in which I read them what their own website said about earning in business class on EI and in which might have mentioned small claims court), they agreed to post the points. However, their first response was “take it up with Aer Lingus, it’s their problem”. As Gold for Life, I am more worried about miles than points

Raffles99ParticipantRemember there are two option with Aer Lingus.
You can either open an avios.com account and credit them there, with the number of miles based on the price you pay.
Or you can add a BA number and get a flat rate number of Avios.
Depending on what you pay one will be better than the other.
