Does anyone know when we can expect this to happen?

From posts on other forums I don’t think a decision has been made. Speculation seems to be around mid July after Step 3 in the “easing” process.

I suppose in any case a penny pinching organisation like BA will delay it as long as possible, certainly while the staff can be on furlough.

Rumour….Heathrow Airport Ltd will not permit a statue of WW to be erected at LHR, after he retires, due to his recent liking, and approval, of slave-labour!!😀

Cathay Pacific hasn never closed all of its lounges in Hong Kong.
Always one or 2 lounges have been open to those eligible.

Most AA and UA domestic lounges are open, though, sadly, not yet their far superior Flagship or Polaris lounges.

There was an article on one Lounge opening at T5 on one of the Executive travel bulletins to my phone.
Staff ordering Service only, seating limited, no more buffet foods, and possible slots of time etc…

All lounges need to be re-thought for sure from All Airlines, and with less room, Social Distancing, who will be allowed in?
Will it only be the Top tier FF’s, Business / or First?
Restrictions of some sort will be needed for all Airline Lounges currently.

BA has two lounges open plus the arrivals lounge.

Clearly they have the capacity to open 3 others if required but numbers are relatively low so I suspect they are not trying to solve problems that don’t exist.

Of course for those concerned about capacity one can always give the lounge a miss, T5 is very empty I gather.

    Afternoon,
I am in the First lounge this afternoon, on the way to Madrid. I’ll be posting a report later but if you have any questions, happy to answer them.
    Hope you are all well.
    Tom
