    Hi All

    Looks like BA to chopping the longhaul network as per below, been informed on the below by a reliable colleague:

    Update from Ba on routes for next year.
    I am also pleased to announce from 28th March we will be operating a daily LGW-MAN service
    Permanent suspensions from S21 season onwards:
    Pittsburgh (PIT)
    Calgary (YYC)
    Charleston (CHS)
    Seoul (ICN)
    Durban (DUR)
    Dammam (DMM)
    Lima (LIM)
    Osaka (KIX)
    Kuala Lumpur (KUL)
    Seychelles (SEZ) – last service 24th April 2021
    Abu Dhabi (AUH)
    Muscat (MCT)
    Jeddah (JED) – short adhoc operation to continue over Hajj period in July 2021

    S21 season only suspensions (until 30th October 2021):
    Sydney (SYD)
    Bangkok (BKK)
    San Jose (SJO) – last service 17th April 2021
    Additionally from 28th March 2021, ACC and ISB will move from LHR to LGW.
    Accra (ACC)
    ISB (ISB)

    Yesterday we reported that BA was restoring its MAN-LGW link.

    British Airways to resume Manchester-Gatwick link

    Hi David

    Yes they are on GDS as flying into Gatwick so you should get a message from BA or your Travel Agent/TMC advising you of this.

    Yes indeed – updated booking now received. Only a minor inconvenience in terms of getting into the centre of London.

    Feels like these were mostly new routes operated by dreamliners and A350s. One assumes wth 747s retired and less capacity needed on major routes, these dreamliners will be needed elsewhere!

    Also consider that all of BA’s 12 A380s have been grounded.

    There is no indication when these A380s will return to service.
