So the crux of the matter is that I was given totally incorrect information by agents in the Exec Club. Who can you believe these days? They pass you off with any old rubbish…..
Alex, I am not sure that is correct. I booked return flights to Istanbul on Sunday, and although I had the option to part pay with Avios, no option to pay in full, no option to upgrade. I was not bothered as had no intention of using them, but it does not seem to square with what BA are saying.
