Currently, On Business members earn On Business Points on British Airways mainline, Citiflyer and Sun-Air of Scandinavia flights.

From 22nd March 2011 On Business Points will be earned on selected codeshare flights with American Airlines and Iberia.

This includes all direct flights between London and Spain operated by Iberia but booked with a British Airways flight number, and all direct transatlantic flights between Europe and the USA, operated by either partner, but booked with a British Airways flight number.

Earning rates will be exactly the same as when flying to those destinations with BA.

All tickets must be booked with a British Airways flight number to be eligible, either online at ba.com, through the British Airways service centre or with a travel agent.

The T&Cs will be updated from 22nd March.

Redemption opportunities for On Business members will not change.

This increased earnings opportunity comes on the back of changes to the OB scheme in Autumn 2010, reducing the minimum number of travelling employees from 5 to 2; allowing points-earning on BA tickets booked outside the home membership country and changing mileage earning and redemption rates. Unlike BA Miles, On Business Redemptions do not require the availability of mileage redemption inventory and can therefore be most valuable for SMEs needing to make short-notice or schedule-critical bookings.
