Come the inevitable BA-IB divorce, IB will be out of T5 and LYS and others can come back.

    Bucksnet:

I would like you to explain your basis for the “inevitable BA-IB divorce”.
As IAG is now turning round IB I do not see the logic behind the statement.

Iberia Express is profitable, Vueling is soaring, and IB´s domestic franchisee – Air Nostrum-Iberia Regional – is holding up. The IB long haul business is what IAG really wants and that is being turned round to profitability (Q2). Why should BA become a bit player in bigger and bigger markets?

IB is a basket case and the anti-British wee Willy Walsh shackled BA to a corpse. Mark my words, it won’t last.

@ImissConcorde – I’m sorry, no, it is not. CSA used to leave from a jetbridge at T4, the flight departure times were better overall, and there were charming Czech cabin crew and excellent beer and wine. And it kept my OK Plus card alive.
