BunnahabhainParticipantAnyone else having trouble updating the BA Flights v1.4.1 app to British Airways v2.0 in iTunes? It won’t download because it says v2.0 with the modified title isn’t available in the UK store (!!). But it keeps showing in your apps to be updated.
v1.4.1 continues to work ok on the iPhone.
Must be a joke in here somewhere…

I’m having exactly the same problem.
PS What’s happening on Thursday?

BunnahabhainParticipantI wonder if v2.0 is a US version, or currently at least.
Will update the thread re “The meeting” – you just can’t get rid of prog rock – next. Look forward to the heated debate over whether the BA iPhone app icon should be sky or navy blue (in association with VK Enterprises)

SimonRowberryParticipantThe only real problem is that it keeps turning up as an update (which you then can’t download) when you log in to iTunes, which is a pain, but not at all when you try to update your apps directly from your iPhone.
Curiouser and curiouser…..

BunnahabhainParticipantI’ve seen this problem before, can’t remember which app, eventually it went away though.
Just intrigued now to see what v2.0 has in store. Mobile boarding pass is surely the crowd’s favourite…

BusinessTravellerKeymasterHi – i can’t say whether this is the reason for your issues using the BA iPhone app, but the airline is previewing a new app to the media later this week. We’ll be at the event, and will have more details on the site in due course.

BunnahabhainParticipantThe new version is no longer showing in the apps to be updated. Look forward to your review of the event.

continentalclubParticipantA BA person has posted elsewhere as follows:
The new app is indeed coming later this month – the release date will be announced next week. The following link will go to full information about the new apps as soon as they’re launched:
We’ve taken the current app out of the app store until the new release is ready. However, some of you will be seeing an “update” option on itunes for Macs or PCs . This option will only actually work once the new app is released. Apologies for the confusion (it’s the way itunes works).
The existing app will still work in the meantime.
Hopefully this will answer some of your queries.

BusinessTravellerKeymasterHi – the new iPhone app will be launched on Monday July 19, along with the first BA apps for Google Android and Blackberry.
The iPhone version will include mobile boarding pass capabilities, which will also be launched on Monday on the Heathrow-Edinburgh route, before being rolled out on domestic and then international routes.

VintageKrugParticipantJust returned from Hospital Club, where the new app was demonstrated.
It’s good, but then bmi have been doing this for ages, so it’s not as ground breaking as they make out.
I was however interested to hear of the many other changes which are being developed into ba.com so it can continue to be one of the best airline online web experiences around.

BunnahabhainParticipantAnd we’re back to to square one with iTunes – any idea when it actually becomes available to sync?

continentalclubParticipantAs Business Traveller reports above, the new apps will go live on Monday 19th July, at which time they will become available at the iTunes store.

BunnahabhainParticipantCan anyone get the flight information arrivals and departures to work? It just crashes the app every time after a few seconds searching, whether the search is by route, flight or airport. Same whether logged in or not. The search timetables is ok, as are all other functions.
