    Seasonedtraveller if you are checking in a bag just tell the agent in LAX that you only want it checked as far as LHR. They will oblige.

    I too Black-Listed Air Canada years ago when they completely & utterly screwed up my EWR – YYZ – TLV flights. Even forced to spend the night in the terminal at YYZ. No compensation and LOUSY service to top it off.

    BA on the other hand has ALWAYS sorted out any problems & made sure I had a bed to sleep in when a major delay was encountered. And they fully returned 100% of the GBP & Avios when I was forced to cancel 2 award tickets due to a tiny heart attack. And no proof was required, true I was in the hospital & the wife called but still.
