looking at flights to cpt next sept in first (sorry for typo in header)
both ba45
and ba 59 showing no first class

i know that old first is used on this route and sold as j, but i thought this applied to ba/42/43 winter and ba58/9 in summer

why is ba 45 not showing first as its a 777 ?

when i try feb I can get first on ba 58/59 but at 7.5k

are ba looking to drop first from this route ?

Hi Simon01, I am really surprised by this as of course Capetown is no doubt a leisure destination, I would have thought much like some other leisure destinations such as Barbados, St. Lucia, etc., where there is an affluent contingent of regular travellers, that First would be a big seller on this route. What other routes do you anticipate will lose First?

First to CPT is from £4,840, but to JNB is from £6,355.

Club world to CPT is from £3,562, but to JNB is from £3,400.

I can see why they’d remove first from the route altogether.
