It’s reported elsewhere that the BA flight to Moscow Domodedovo yesterday was held on arrival due to an airshow and eventually had to be diverted due to a fuel shortage. Throw in a problem restarting one of the engines and the return flight left 10 mins after it needed to, the crew ran out of hours and the plane had to land in Amsterdam at 10.45 with passengers overnighting.

A couple of medical emergency diversions on Thursday as well.

I wonder if EU261 applies due to delays caused by an airshow…..

I presume the crew on the Moscow flights don’t remain overnight, but come straight back on the return.

Interesting point SImon, without knowing all the facts, it is hard to say.
