LHRtravellerParticipantThe number on the fuselage is referring to the airs how position, all aircraft have been agiven one, is just that Airbus decided to paint it on the fuselage to make a clear difference with the Airbus own A380 aircraft which is also at the airs how. The BA bird will fly back to Toulouse on Wednesday

Henkel.TrockenParticipantDo we know anything yet about crew levels on the BA A380?
FWIW I understand the following levels are the norm on other carriers:
EK 25
SQ 23
AF, MH, LH & QF 22I wonder how BA will stack up.

VintageKrugParticipantIt will be interesting to know the crewing levels, though of course one has to align crew levels to numbers of seats/passengers.
Here’s a glimpse inside the new A380:

transtraxmanParticipantThis is news today on the Beeb.
“A380 superjumbo flies into Cardiff Airport”http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-south-east-wales-23485174
Does this mean the A380 is going to be upgraded to “New First”?…
…or could it mean it is going to be retrofitted with all the equipment extracted from the 747s?29 Jul 2013

MartynSinclairParticipantthe more I think about it the more unbelievable it is – new state of the art aircrafts (380 and 787) but nothing new in the hard product, unless BA are about to present a surprise……
I fully accept techno innovations will benefit the bottom line in terms of running costs, but these aircrafts were launched amid much screaming of new passenger comforts.
A bit like buying a new house, and kitting out with dated furniture… will suit some, but not others…

I think they have decided ‘we own Heathrow’, no need to try very hard.
IMHO, a risky strategy.

HongKongLadyParticipantIt seems like a missed opportunity and they will have to upgrade them in the not too distant future………… .?

Whether point of exit or entry, BA seems to feel that LHR is a cheque writing machine.
It’s probably a reasonable view, in a static world.
