    I’m travelling to JFK soon (early March) on the 4pm afternoon 777 service in business. Thankfully back via EWR on the 787!

    Have the 777-2s been mostly updated to include newer IFE? and

    Are the 787s from EWR often subject to aircraft changes to 777s? I chose the return specifically for the 787.

    I think the Gatwick 777 have not all be fully refurbished but I haven’t been one out of Heathrow with the old IFE in years.

    I’ve never experienced a plane change out of EWR but that is not to say it is not possible, especially with the 787 engine problems. I think some Air Belgium A340 aircraft are replacing the 787 on that route at some point this year but apparently is made very clear on BA’s website that is what you are getting.

    First on the 787-9 out of EWR is lovely!

    Personally, as some of you must already know, I will do anything possible to avoid a 777. No experience of the 787 yet – that battery issue still bothers me…..
