I’ve heard strong rumours three times in the last ten days from reputable sources that a tie up is in late stages of planning.

    Does anyone know any more?

It seems to make some sense and certainly CX appear to be offering a lot of code shares through Helsinki to many points in Europe and across the North Atlantic on AY services. Seemingly AY are now the biggest code share partner of CX and vice versa.

I have heard rumors also. Interesting prospect, CX’s best performing routes have been to Europe, London in particular. Having to rely less on BA would be an attractive proposal for them and Helsinki is in a great location for feeding traffic.

Other Cathay news. CX had its best week so far this year for yield and load in the premium cabins, but interestingly its worst revenue performance in Y.
