I’ve tried several times, to attach a photograph using the box at the bottom of the subject page but each time it seems as though my picture has too large a file size (currently 3.9MB) – so;

How do I get one of my pics, taken on a standard Samsung smartphone, to a file size that will be accommodated on this forum?

What I do is email it to myself, and when you do that on a phone it normally gives you the option of emailing a smaller version of it. I pick the smallest or medium one and that then is small enough to upload as an attachment
