@Alexthegreat thanks, that’s what I was hoping for. Have just sent it off today so will wait and see what comes back. I have some travel in Africa planned next year so I’m hoping that the card will come in handy as Kenya Airways seems to be the dominant carrier there (for my planned destinations anyway).

Sent an email with my BAEC Gold card scan on the 16-09 and again on the 29-09, finally on the 2-10 received a welcome email to the Freccia Alata Plus club. After 6 weeks (and 5 calls to their customer centre in Rome with 5 different answers) no news on the welcome package, including the new card and the promotion code to invite another person as a Freccia Alata member. Considering that the status match is valid only until 31-3-16, not a big deal…

Giampaolo…..check with AZ. I received my card 6 weeks ago with an expiry of March 2017. Used it twice for Skyteam lounge access travelling on KLM….no problems.

Do not despair peter19 I had that several times and almost gave up but I persisted and now have my gleaming new Freccia Alata Plus card. Any tips on unusual benefits i.e. other than those on the website would be welcome.

@ Giampaulo – it reads a little confusingly, the offer is available until 31st March 2016 but the card is then valid for 12 months from that date. If you get it now it’ll be valid until March 2017. I received my shiny black Atlata Plus card in the post a few weeks ago, to be honest it took so long (about two months?) I’d forgotten all about it!

I finally got sorted out after originally trying to send a proper scanned copy of my card downloaded from the ba website. I ended up just doing a basic scan and sending it and it was then accepted. Once accepted I had the card within a week but it’s only valid until 3/2016 based on my expiry of my ba card being 2015.

Sent copy and paste of my BA Gold card, email back a week or so later asking for more details as not clear.

Sent in a pdf, email received again saying not clear. Sent again, asking what’s not clear, its very clear to me when I open.

Email again asking for clearer details. Called, but you cannot speak to the status match team. Now sent with a photo of the card. probably not the right resolution though, expect another reject email.

First-class-please FYO….to speak to the MilleMiglia team from the UK, the number is 03335 665544. Spoke to them this morning, got straight through to their team in …… Albania!! They will sort your missing card.

So reporting my second experience as Freccia Alata Plus member. It looked as dreadful as the first one. AZ European business class is average, but this time at least I could access a lounge! It took me however about 1 hour! FCO is really a “casino a la romana! So I was seriously considering never transiting here again until I reached the damned lounge. And I have to say it is rather nice. Not too large. Decent food. Good internet connection. Actually a nice place to stay… Will I do it again? Not sure…

Yesss ;this reminds me of the last time I was at FCO looking for the ” La Dolce Vita ” lounge and circling for 30 min trying to locate it after everyone I asked gave me different directions !..The Italians are though great at lifestyle features ;they have style,taste ,flair ;Italian ” joie de vivre ” is unique so it s always nice to be in italian surroundings .

Having applied for Status Match with my Virgin Gold Card, I received notification that I am now a member of Freccia Alata and not Plus. Does anyone know if that is the correct level to which I should have been assigned?

I got the same with my Etihad Gold and as my card expires on 3/16, as with a couple of others on the forum, the Freccia Alata card is only to 3/16. Hardly worth the bother.

On another note I have just managed a status match giving me Gold with SA carrier Avianca Brazil (Amigo programme) and it is until 11/17
