The other was simply crammed full of Y seats, 2-4-2 and for a long time, they sold the front cabin as business class! The customer pressure forced them to sell the middle 4 as 2, to allow some space. Horrible seats, not as nice as the converter seats on the B737s/A32xs at the time.
I suffered to and from Greece quite a few times. Quite awful.
FDoS – I can remember those A300-600s with all those Y seats. After the converter seats were fitted to the A320s and 737s I complained to LH every time I encountered that dreadful arrangement. I did very well for miles from them as at the time they generally gave away about 20000 for a complaint!
