I am not keen to subsidise BAA and other airport operators by buying their sometimes excessively overpriced bottled water which is blatant profiterring in my view.
However when I look around at airports I do not find any drinking facilities to speak of. Stansted has one fountain in the main terminal and none in the satellites. I found none in LHR T1, Gla, Edi, Lgw, Ema.
I have resorted to asking for water at the commercial outlets and on occasions been refused (which I can’t really object to).
Is it not about time that the authorities took an interest in passenger welfare in this case ?
