    It seems I did not mention in my last paragraph that the airline using that terminal at CDG using 747s and DC-10s was UTA, which was the second airline in France after AF, similar in scale to British Caledonian at the time but with no short haul flights.

    It seems in my previous post in which I was reminiscing that I forgot the say that the airline I was referring to which I was about to board at CDG for African flights was UTA. A second force airline in France after AF and was similar in scale to the UK’s British Caledonian, and was also private. They did not have any short haul aircraft however, just DC-8s and then DC-10s and 747s.
