Bucksnet. I agree that anything is possible including the UFO from planet Zog accidently crashing into it conspiracy!

What I’m going to ask about your assertion is this. Convincve me of a motive.

We all lknow that our Gallic neighbours can be irratating at times. Some of their antics can onluy be described as “jkust not cricket”

However, why would a rogue german submarine be so pissed off at our ” cheese eating surrender monkeys” bretheren to shoot down innocents and more importantly not bother to claim responsibility for their political actions. Thus making it a pointless exercise!

Its like a heroin addict mugging you and then opening up an ISA account with their ill gotten gains!

Shooting down airplanes is an act of war so it’s not something to claim responsibility for now is it? And it’s not a pointless exercise if you achieve your aims.

Going into the reasons behind the decision to shoot it down could be regarded as a conspiracy theory. All I’m trying to get across is that it wasn’t an accident. We can theorize who was on board, what the cargo was and many other things. A conspiracy theory is a theory about a conspiracy. Trying to decide between an accident or a shoot down is not a conspiracy.

Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger explaining why the fact AF447 was serviced with an Airbus played a role in the crash and why it could have been avoided on a Boeing: http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-33816_162-57587193/four-years-later-lessons-from-air-france-flight-447/
Good to see an iconic pilot also corroborating this fact.

I read this article onboard a BA flight last week – it was in a Vanity Fair provided – not for the faint-hearted but an excellent piece by a well-respected writer on aviation – I enjoyed his book about the Miracle on the Hudson

No miracle in this one, sadly….

It is being mentioned by several UK newspapers today who have noticed the piece and the transcripts from the voice recorder from AF447.

    FT article

Air France and Airbus reject responsibility for deadly 2009 crash

Companies on trial for ‘involuntary manslaughter’ following deaths of 228 people on Rio-Paris flight

    https://www.ft.com/content/c90343ed-9d81-4dc3-9748-61b9aeaa5b71

“The longstanding case revolves around Air France pilots’ response to the Airbus A330 passenger jet’s external airspeed sensors being blocked with ice. The blockage stalled the plane’s autopilot function, forcing its pilots to take manual control.”
