Apparently Air Belgium have announced it will suspend scheduled operations to Hong Kong from Brussels with a very short amount of notice.

It’s a pity but many could see the struggle Air Belgium would have in becoming the new national ‘flag carrier’ or Belgium. The HKG route was delayed and delayed, seats weren’t sold via a GDS and loads were apparently in the double digits.

    Well, that’s a big surprise.

We shall have to see what happens next. Air Belgium wants to serve mainland China.

Cynics in Belgium are saying that this airline is making more money from leasing its A340s to other carriers, namely Air France and, more recently, British Airways.

All of them think just about the money, nobody cares about customers. Sadness
