So BA has kept their promise to launch new First flights from LGW in April. G-VIIU has been transferred to LGW and has already flown to Bermuda and Barbados this week. G-VIIA has gone to Cardiff for maintenance which hopefully includes the new WT, WT+ and First. This is great news, especially since G-VIIA flies to Barbados more than any other destination from LGW as it’s a 4-class 777-200ER.

I think the plan is that VIIA will go to LHR so BA eventually has a consistent inflight product including new AVOD on the LHR T7 fleet.

Well, we’ll see what happens. But seeing how profitable BGI and BDA in particular are to BA, it would be prudent to get the latest products on these routes quickly.

This was from an earlier thread on the same subject:-

“The aircraft with NF is arriving into LGW on 25/04/12 and will be initially flown on the Bermuda and Barbados routes.

Aircrafts VIIA, VIIB and VIIF will be replaced by VIIU, VIIV and VIIW with all three having NF”
