This is what makes a good airline an outstanding airline in my view. Let’s be honest: airlines all take you from A to B in relative comfort, against a price per mile you can’t even start your car for, with normally competent and friendly staff.
It is when things start to go wrong that real qualities emerge. KLM shows time and again that some real interest in their customers and a proactive attitude is what a traveller really needs.
In over 30 years of travel on many, many different airlines and hundreds of flights worldwide I have especially come to treasure the commitment of KLM to me as a customer. I have not had a similar experience on any other airline.
It is their attention to details, together with a great Amsterdam airport, that is the reason for my loyalty.
