Had checked in on line the day before and again managed to move seat forward from 17 to 7.

Arrived at Schipol printed off boarding pass and dropped off bags. Security had long lines, but they were well marshalled and the e passport gates worked well.

You walk a long way at schipol, perhaps because D26 is near the end of the pier.

Something of a plane spotters paradise as one of the runways was close, mostly being used for smaller 737-8, but latter some of the long haul american carriers also used it too.

The dreaded business class and premium call for boarding was made followed by a general boarding call for the rest, never a good move on a fullish flight, so we waited to let the queue die down, then boarded towards the end. Schipol was busy and the captain kept us up to date, push back 5 minutes late, but that short runway wasn't far away. Had the same white wine Sol Casal a spanish sauvignon and the crisps, which filled a hole. We ended up stacked near LGW, captain apologised, got down 5 minutes late and were nearer to the main terminal, e gates worked for me but not my partner.

Luggage quite quick.

Excellent value £35 each with our avios LGW to Ams.
