I think the problem is FDOS that you come across as very anti BA. Your criticism far outways your compliments. As a regular reader of the forum it does seem that most times someone has something positive to say about BA you cant help but post a criticism in answer. If someone likes or commends BA they are a “BA apologist” and it is almost as though their opinion is wrong in your eyes and if they make comment about your post then it is a personal attack.
You have clearly had some bad experiences that have tainted your view of BA however you can go on to tripadvisor and find plenty of people that have had bad experiences at the ritz but it doesnt make it a bad hotel and most people will accept that it can be difficult in certain types of industry to meet everyones expectations all of the time especially when the vary so widely and sometimes are not realistic.
On the marketing of the £158 fare and selling on price opposed to quality i think on that route with the type of traveller going to that destination (predominently family holiday) price is much more important than quality, especially with the current squeezes on your average familys disposable income.
