BA seem to have become exceptionally frugal with their redemption allocations. I’ve been hoping to get an upgrade from C to F against Avios for a few months now, but with no luck. There’s less than 14 hours to my flight, 5 seats are showing available commercially, and yet BA refuses to release any upgrades. I tried calling the Exec Club, but was told that they couldn’t send any messages or help in any manner. I believe I can’t get an upgrade against Avios at the airport. Is this now a lost cause, or is there some route to finding someone who could help ?
