To cut a long story short, I was offloaded from a BA flight from Marrakech to Gatwick after falling down the stairs just before boarding. I landed heavily on my right arm and I think it was my HBO that saved me from more serious injury.
The BA duty manager and airport assistant were immediately on the scene.
What followed was a spectacular case of service recovery thanks to above manager, including medical assistance, 48 hours in a 5* hotel and rebooked on the next flight to LGW. It was a miserable two extra days in Marrakech – apart from the weather – but I have so much to be grateful for.
