Mr Michael, your point about targeted investment is exactly why BA is rapidly getting tagged with , at best ,being inconsistent..
The average fare to Almaty, pound per mile I suspect exceeds the NYC routes. As a consumer I’d expect at least the same level of service found on the North Atlantic.
In fact if memory serves me right, I’d expect the same level of service as is offered on the Indian routes, and they apparently exceed those on the North Atlantic flights.
In summary, targeted investment is corporate speak for we have to try harder because…….
In customer speak, it translates into being short changed !!
But you’re right; I can also see the appeal to the BA bean counters.
