Am of a contrary view AOTG and Anthony Dunn.
You appear to hold a nature over nurture view as key to the resulting outcome. Am strongly in the nurture camp.
It is not the origins of cabin crew which is important but the way the company fundamentally nurtures them….. or not.
Someone who works for a company which espouses quality and service, to be the best yet in reality cuts corners in food, equipment, maintenance, aircraft cleanliness etc will inevitably, eventually lead to poor crew who copy the cultural behaviour and short measure reality elsewhere in the company.
BA fail to walk the talk.
Getting cheaper/younger crew from wherever will merely prolong the systemic and issues. BA needs to join up its whole delivery proposition – delivering on all customer aspects.
The real culture starts at the top and is realised throughout. Nurture has a far greater influence on the outcome.
