On the cleaning point, is it not down to the same problem we have discussed on another thread related to the new lounge catering? The decision on who to contract to is taken by a buying department, and ultimately any ambition relating to quality or delivering a great customer experience takes a back seat.
Given that cost management is the focus from the very top of the organisation, it is inevitable, sadly.
