I would agree that many new-generation angled seats are difficult to sleep in. My experience on overnight flights include TG, LX (A340), LH, AF, KLM, and SK. I have been in Club World, but only on day flights from CAI. I think the TG seat provided a nice seat, and a good nights sleep. So perhaps the investments have not paid off as previously discussed!
I think my concern with the angle seats are:
1. “The sliding down” feeling
2. Many are very “hard” no more than the LX A340 seat! Same on KL and AF
3. Picking an aisle-window paring makes it hard for window seat to get out mid-flight.
Due to these “issues” I have struggled to get proper sleep in these seats. I would like to try BA CW on a night flight to benchmark.
I am booking LX’s new A330-300 seat ARN-ZRH-EWR in Dec to test this out. LX has some brilliant market fares from ARN.
