Two weeks ago my Uber car didn’t turn up. I was told it would be a 2-3 minute wait. I received a text from Uber saying my car had been cancelled after I had waited 15 minutes. I then took a black cab as I had a train to catch. I was charged a £5 “cancellation fee”, twice I may add. I sent them an e -mail explaining the driver didn’t turn up and they assured me by return e-mail that the charge(s) would be refunded. I’m still waiting for the refund and as this was the first time I had used Uber I’m a bit wary of using them again.
