Red Nose day/evening is extremely entertaining and its very sad that its needed.

Every year i organise a party with the plasma’s showing the events and instead of party presents, we collect dontations. 25% goes to Red Nose charities and the remainder is split between nominated charities decided on the evening. We always agree that at least 51% goes back to UK based charities and the overseas donations go to little known, but well run charities.

Like Nigel, I have never understood why the emphasis is on overseas charities.

But charity is important. Read the word Tzedakah in wiki from a general inforamtion point of view. I would be very interested to hear similar terms from other people for charity.

Well done VK for pointing Red Nose day out. When is Children in Need??
