We’ve had a few threads over the years on similar themes of unwanted noise and distraction from our fellow customers in lounges, first class cabins etc. Predictably everyone who responds agrees that the “I’m so important” brigade are behaving inappropriately when they ought to know better.

Hi Bunnahabhain

So, my own take on it is this:
– No phone calls in lounges
– No phone calls on planes
– No phone calls in restaurants

I don’t honestly know what it is that is so important, and if it is a critical call you simply have to take, by all means go outside and take the call in a nice quiet spot away from normal humans who wish to eat/drink/fly in peace.

Not so long ago in an American Lounge I swear a family had a Skype call, on loudspeaker to some random family member somewhere else in the world….I glared at them then moved to the other end of the lounge.

As you might have detected, one of my pet peeves is phone-use…drives me bonkers.
