I visited Las Vegas for the NAB convention every year from 2000 – 2012. I like small hotels/motels with a nice large room with a fridge. I used to stay at The Algiers motel until they closed it and then I had the same spacious room every year at the Somerset House Motel until it closed too. In 2012 I stayed at the Clarion, Convention Centre Drive. The room was great (and it was cheap), there were no resort charges and free WiFi but apart from teh room the rest of the hotel was shabby. I gave me what I wanted a nice room and easy parking near the Convention Centre. If you want flash and dash it will not be for you – but if you don’t want to walk miles from a car park or reception to get to your room it might just be right for you.
