I love these type of programmes, but then like many on here, we maybe a little ‘geekish’ where aircraft and airlines are involved.
These show’s can suffer from skimming over the top of many subjects, sometimes leaving you with wanting a slightly more ‘in depth’ analysis, but then it perhaps needs to appeal to the wider, more general audience.
What I did find interesting was the work at ATC and the tower, and left me wondering what it must be like on a foggy night in January, rather than the perfect conditions of last night, these ‘guys and gals’ certainly do a fine job.
It also highlighted the fact, that with only 2 runways at LHR, dating back to the original 1940’s construction, this is a major problem for all concerned, and how they must look enviously at CDG, Schipol and Frankfurt which give them so many more options.
