@JimBannerman1: Alas, Jim, that’s not even so lucky. If you stay within T5, you’re sorted. go through those doors from domestic arrivals and head for another terminal and it doesn’t matter that you’ve gone from one BAA Airport (EDI) to another (LHR T3), you get stuffed with another security check.
@Daytripper: other sources suggest that T5C will not have a lounge, but has passive space set aside for when it is economically viable to do so; I’d imagine that means when the A380s turn up and you know they’ll depart from that building.
Back on topic, more things to ask:
– VK suggest co-location means bringing JAL across; IAG say its all about BA/IB under one roof: is this all just pie-in-the-sky stuff?
– The Heathrow Airport website is abysmal at updating progress on developments (T5C, T1/2/East, etc.) – do Joe Public have to just guess what’s going on or do BAA/HAL intend on actually updating their website with substantive information?
