The majority of countries around the world are requiring travellers to show proof of a negative Covid-19 result upon arrival at their destination in a bid to prevent further outbreaks of the virus.

See our feature on the different Covid-19 tests available here, and the countries offering free tests here.

Nevertheless, there are still some countries that do not require testing, provided that you do not show symptoms upon entry to the country – in this case you may be subject to a test upon arrival in the destination.

Here, we list the countries that are free from restrictions for people travelling from the UK.

  • Austria (unless you are arriving from the North East, East Midlands, Yorkshire and the Humber)
  • Bulgaria
  • Croatia
  • France
  • Luxembourg
  • Malta (unless you are arriving from Belfast, Cardiff, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle or Nottingham)
  • Montenegro
  • Poland
  • Portugal
  • Serbia
  • Sweden
  • Switzerland
  • Turkey
