The Royal National Hotel is one of the largest hotels in the United Kingdom in terms of bedrooms with 1,630 rooms spread over eight storeys. It is managed by Imperial London Hotels, which owns seven different hotels in the London Bloomsbury area that in total have over 3,000 sqm of meeting space in over 30 different rooms. Known for its budget accommodations, the Royal National is on Belford Way and and is a short walk to the Russell Square underground station, the British Museum and Oxford Street.

2. Hilton London Metropole: 1,054 bedrooms

The Hilton London Metropole is one of Europe’s largest conference hotels, with 43 meeting and events rooms and space for up to 3,000 people. The property has a 12.5-metre indoor swimming pool, and a 172 car park. On its 23rd floor sits Kojawan restaurant serving a combination of Japanese, Korean and Taiwanese inspired cuisine along with a raw shellfish bar and drinks. Located on Edgware Road, the hotel is close to Hyde Park, Oxford Street and across from the Edgware underground station.

Right off the Oxford Street, sits the Cumberland. Managed by Guoman, it has a thousand plus rooms and suites, one of which where Jimmi Hendrix gave his last interview in 1970. Dating from 1909 and refurbished in 2018, the Strand Palace is a five minute walk from Charing Cross underground station. Originally an art deco classic (its original 1920s foyer is on display at the Victoria and Albert Musuem), the historic hotel has nine meeting rooms holdng up to 250 people. The Joe Allen Restaurant is a New York style brasserie that is popular as a pre-theatre dinner located on the ground floor and the hotel’s Gin Palace cocktail bar serves over 30 different gins and a wider range of spirits.

8. Holiday Inn Kensington: 694 bedrooms

Intercontinental Hotel Group recently signed with Holiday Inn Kensington to open in December one of the biggest Holiday Inns in Europe. It has 12 meeting rooms, the largest of which can accommodate 230 people. Intercontinental will be renovating Kensington Close Hotel and keeping their 18-metre swimming pool, the largest pool in Kensington. The Boulevard Restaurant serves European food, afternoon tea and cocktails. It’s about a five-minute walk from High Street Kensington’s shops and High Street Kensington underground station.

Built in 1936, Melia White House was originally The White House luxury apartments, it does currently rent apartments, and still preserves its 1930’s architecture. A few short minutes from Marble Arch tube stop stands the Amba. From the outside, Amba has an art deco design and inside, is one of the biggest hotels in London.
