The festive season has well and truly begun. From the upcoming long weekend in the UAE as we launch into December, to office Christmas parties, family gatherings as well as Christmas Eve and New Year’s celebrations, there are many things to do, places to go and people to meet as we near the end of the year. Just in time then, Sofitel Dubai Downtown has announced its Art de Noel festive lineup for the season where you can “Live the French Way” and enjoy chic brunches, decadent Christmas Eve dinners, lavish afternoon tea experiences and family-friendly buffets.
Festive Afternoon Tea at La Patisserie
Guests can enjoy Chocolat Chaud a L’Ancienne, accompanied by savoury snacks and holiday-inspired French sweets. There’s music about to keep you in the holiday mood, courtesy of the musician Adam who will play classics on the piano. The offer is valid from December 8-31 for Dhs199 for two people.
Also, there are takeaway gingerbread houses, festive hampers or turkey for Dhs599 at La Patisserie from December 8, although you must give the hotel a 24-hour advance notice for it.
A feast at Les Cuisines
A traditional Christmas Eve supper at Sofitel Dubai Downtown is served alongside a selection of international cuisines. Featuring favourite classics, such as a carved, glazed Turkey, and roasted prime rib, the feast will take place on Christmas Eve, between 7pm-10.30pm. Indulge in buffet service, live cooking stations and entertainment. Children aged between 6 and 12 can enjoy a surprise visit by Santa for only Dhs170 (including food and soft beverages). Adults can choose between the soft package (Dhs385 per person) and the house package (Dhs495 per person).
Festive Market
On Christmas Eve, celebrate from 7pm-10.30pm at the Festive Pool Market which looks out over Dubai’s Downtown skyline and the Burj Khalifa. Inspired by the traditional Christmas market, guests can feast on a range of international cuisines served à la carte. They can also sip on mulled grape, premium beverages, festive cocktails, or hot cocoa. Guests can also nibble on desserts such as yule logs and snow Santa hats. There will be live entertainment too. The premium house beverages package is priced at Dhs295 per adult.
Christmas Brunch
Start Christmas Day with Joie de Noel and a memorable Family Brunch next to Sofitel Dubai Downtown’s infinity pool. Enjoy a food cart set-up between 1-4pm on December 25, and watch live entertainment while sipping on soft and house beverages. The package starts at Dhs170 for kids between 6 and 12 years old (including food and soft beverages). Adults can choose between the soft drinks package for Dhs350 per adult, or the house drinks package for Dhs475 per adult (includes premium house drinks).
Sofitel Dubai Downtown’s Chic Carnaval Under the Stars
Get ready for the final countdown to welcome the New Year. The Sofitel Dubai Downtown’s Chic Carnaval offers guests extravagant views of the Dubai downtown skyline. A gala dinner, in a decidedly French style, will include live cooking stations. The buffet service includes international cuisines for guests to indulge in while watching live entertainment. Starting at 7pm, the party will not end until 12.30am. Children below 12 years old can join for only Dhs600, including food and beverages.
Adults can choose from three packages starting at Dhs1,200 per adult with the Classic Package, where diners can enjoy buffet service and live cooking stations, as well as soft beverages. The Gold Package (Dhs1,600 per adult) provides diners with access to the buffet service, live cooking stations, and house beverages. Finally, the Limitless Package costs Dhs2,200 per adult and gives guests access to the buffet service, live cooking stations, premium beverages and bubbly grape.
Sofitel’s Sky Table
Available on December 31, 2022, bookings are now open for Sofitel’s new sky table experience for couples which involves an in-room space that can be tailored to your needs with private butler service starting at 8pm. For Dhs6,999, there’s a lavish three-course set menu for two with a choice of prime seafood, chicken or beef while sipping on a bottle of Prestige bubbly grape. Finally, end the night and welcome the New Year with great views of Downtown Dubai until 12.30am.
