Porsche unveils 718 Cayman

Porsche has launched the 718 Cayman, the fourth generation of the two-seater sports coupé. Modelled on its classic 718 sports racers from the 1950s, the new Cayman features a four-cylinder turbocharged “boxer” engine that can go from zero to 62mph in as fast as 4.7 seconds, and has a top speed of 177mph. Steering in the 718 has been configured to be 10 per cent more direct, while an extra half-inch has been added to the rear wheels to enhance the car’s cornering grip. Deliveries begin in the autumn with prices from £39,878. Dunhill launches new eyewear range Dunhill has introduced its latest eyewear collection. Combining the luxury brand’s refined British style with Italian design expertise, the range of optics and sunglasses spans classic and contemporary styles, and comes in a variety of materials and colours, such as gold, silver, tortoiseshell, black and blue. Signature details include the brand’s double “L” longtail logo. All sunglasses have anti-glare lenses. Prices from £250. Brittany’s latest boutique bolthole Think Brittany and Dinard, then throw in a dash of boutique hotel. Castelbrac opened last summer in a 19th-century villa on a cliff top with views of the bays of Vicomte, Solidor and the ramparts of Saint Malo. Built by an aristocratic English family and once home to Robert William Hamilton, a colonel and hero of the Crimean War, it has 25 sea-view rooms and suites. Restaurant Le Pourquois Pas serves locally sourced seafood. You can explore further with Castelbrac's 12-metre wooden motor boat, Le Fou de Bassan. New Tate Modern opens this month  The Tate Modern unveils its major new extension on June 17. Located next to the original building on the Southbank, the gallery adds a ten-storey twisting pyramid to London’s skyline and offers panoramic views of St Paul’s Cathedral and the Thames from its roof terrace. Designed by Herzog and de Meuron, it adds 60 per cent more gallery space along with event venues and a 150-seat restaurant. The new Tate will display works by more than 300 artists and will open with three weeks of performance art. Six Senses set for Seychelles Luxury resort and spa BRAND Six Senses will open a Seychelles property in October on the 263-hectare private island of Félicité. Designed to complement the island’s landscape, the 30-villa Six Senses Zil Pasyon will have 17 two-to five-bedroom residences and six restaurants and bars. The resort’s outdoor seawater pool is set on the ocean’s edge, alongside three private beaches where guests can swim with wild turtles. The 1,765 sqm spa will offer a hammam, saltwater pool and holistic treatments. Tom Ford expands skincare line Give your face a little love. Tom Ford has added new products to its men’s essentials range, based on the designer’s own skincare regime. They include an exfoliating energy scrub (100ml, £35) containing crushed apricot seeds to remove dead cells, and a shave oil (40ml, £45) that can be used alone or under shave cream to condition the skin. Available at Selfridges. Soho House opens Café Monico Soho House has launched a brasserie on London’s Shaftesbury Avenue. Café Monico offers all-day European dining from British chef and food writer Rowley Leigh, with signature dishes including Parmesan custard with anchovy toast, coq au vin and dressed Dorset crab. The 140-cover venue features green leather banquettes, aged oak panelled walls and bespoke marble flooring. Other recent Shaftesbury Avenue openings include the Indian dive bar-inspired Talli Joe and Chinese hotpot restaurant Shuang Shuang. Help your hair with Aveda Combat thinning hair with Aveda’s new Invati Men range. The two-step system includes an exfoliating shampoo made from plant extracts (50ml, £7.50) and a leave-in scalp serum designed to stimulate circulation and make your hair appear thicker (30ml, £16). Rémy Martin releases new XO   Celebrating the 13th year of its partnership with the Cannes Film Festival, Rémy Martin has launched its latest limited edition XO. Created from more than 400 aged eaux-de-vies, the cognac offers hints of candied plum, fig and orange with notes of woody cinnamon and grated hazelnuts. The limited edition carafe features a gilded film reel that wraps around the bottle. Available from Selfridges; £169.
