
So far 32 international hotel brands have been confirmed at the Diriyah Gate Development in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It is expected there will be 38 in total.
Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) is overseeing two master plans for the development: Diriyah Gate and Wadi Safar.

There are few details on this one. We only know that “Anantara will be bringing its experience-led indigenous luxury to DGDA with a new hotel. Currently in the final stages of planning, further details of the upcoming new property will be announced soon. “
Armani Hotel Diriyah
Armani Hotels and Resorts’ hotels in Dubai and Milan will be joined by a third in Diriyah Gate, managed by Emaar Hospitality Group.
The hotel will ‘represent a new interpretation of Armani hospitality, conversing with the unique architecture and landscape of the destination.’ It will be developed by Diriyah ‘in collaboration with Giorgio Armani and his in-house interior design team and the architects who are involved in the design of the development’ and that design will be ‘characterised by essential lines that enhance the precious materials utilised, and a subtle interplay of volumes, light and shadow — perfectly in line with the aesthetics and landscape of Saudi Arabia’.
The hotel will overlook the hospitality and retail quarter and have 70 rooms, two restaurants and a spa, with suites having their own spa and a swimming pool, offering a variety of wellness, hospitality and relaxation experiences. The hotel is connected to approximately 18 Armani Branded Residences.
The Fauchon L’Hôtel Riyadh
The hotel division of Fauchon opened its first property in Paris in September 2018, followed by a second in Kyoto in March 2021. This will be its third – The Fauchon L’Hôtel Riyadh will be in partnership with owner Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) and operator YAKOON Hospitality International. The hotel will have 80 rooms and suites as well as The Grand Café Fauchon, a spa, a rooftop outdoor pool and bar, and a Fauchon boutique.

Four Seasons Hotel Diriyah
Four Seasons Hotel Diriyah will have approximately 150 rooms and suites, meeting and event spaces, a wellness spa with seven treatment rooms and a fitness centre, as well as two outdoor pools with private cabanas. The Hotel will also offer four culinary outlets, including a poolside restaurant and Sunset lounge.
LXR Hotels & Resorts
The luxury LXR Hotels & Resorts hotel brand from Hilton will be at Diriyah Gate, though few details have been released.
In Saudi Arabia, Hilton currently operates hotels under its Waldorf Astoria, Conrad, Hilton, DoubleTree by Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn brands, but has announced plans to expand from its current 15 hotels to a total of 75 hotels by 2030. It has already announced a further 46 hotels, including the introduction of new brands such LXR as well as Curio Collection by Hilton, Canopy by Hilton and Embassy by Hilton.

The Ritz-Carlton, Diriyah, Riyadh
Scheduled to open in 2025, The Ritz-Carlton, Diriyah, Riyadh will have 195 rooms and suites, a specialty restaurant, an all-day dining venue, meeting rooms, an outdoor pool and a fitness centre. Ritz Kids, the brand’s signature kids’ club and programming are part of the vision, as are a signature spa and immersive guest programmes.
The Rosewood Riyadh
The Rosewood Riyadh will open in 2025 and will have 250 rooms including 202 rooms and suites and 48 Wadi Suites ranging from one to three bedrooms. The property will have four restaurants and bars; Asaya, Rosewood’s spa, a fitness centre and meetings and events spaces including a ballroom. The hotel will be its second property in Saudi Arabia, joining Rosewood Jeddah, and fourth in the region, including Rosewood Abu Dhabi and Rosewood Doha opening in 2022.
The Luxury Collection
The first of the hotels to open will be The Luxury Collection in Diriyah, Riyadh, operated by Marriott International. It will be situated in the Samhan district. It will open in 2022 and have 141 rooms, including 27 suites; two restaurants: an all-day-dining restaurant, and a coffee and juice bar, a fitness centre, pool and spa, plus meeting and event facilities.

Already open at the development is the Bujairi Terrace, a dining hub with views of At-Turaif; and the 141-key Samhan Heritage Hotel. Wadi Hanifah, a two square kilometre space accessible from the escarpment walk, will provide passive and active recreational spaces and boutique hospitality venues; places to unwind and spend the afternoon with family and friends in the beautiful wadi surroundings.
